In Remembrance of the 40th Anniversary  
St. Louis 
Pro-Life Mass: 55,000,000 innocent unborn infants have been aborted since Roe v Wade in 1973. Join with other pro-life Catholics for a special pro-life Mass on January 19, 2013 at the Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis.

Arch Event: On Thursday, January 24th, 9:00 a.m., those traveling to the March for Life in Washington, DC will gather at the St. Louis Arch prior to departure.  Pro-life speakers, including Pam Fichter, President of Missouri Right to Life will address the crowd.  Public is invited.

Johnson County

A Benefit, "A Night of Comedy and Grace" will be held Saturday, January 19th, at 7:00 pm at Lees Summit Community Church to help raise money for Mother's Refuge  and the Missouri Alliance for Life . .  Mother's Refuge was was destroyed by fire on October 8th 2012. The Alliance for Life is a coalition of pregnancy help centers and maternity homes from across the state of Missouri. 

 

Sanctity of Life Service - Red Bridge Baptist Church - at 6:00 p.m.on January 20th at Red Bridge Baptist Church, 4901 Red Bridge Road, just west of south 71 Highway co-sponsored by Calvary Bible College.  The lawn is to be covered with pink and blue crosses.

Midwest March For Life and Banquet, January 18 and 19.  Join with other pro-lifers from across Missouri.  Friday evening will be a banquet featuring speaker David Bereit, National Director, 40 Days for Life.  Saturday, 10:00 am will be the March and Rally. Here for Details.

TIME Magazine Story Laments Decline of Pro-Abortion Movement  
Writing in the January 14, 2013, issue of TIME Magazine, journalist Kate Pickert documents the hard-fought victories the pro-life movement has experienced in state legislatures over the past two decades. In "What Choice? Why Abortion-Rights Activists Have Been Losing Ever Since Roe v. Wade," Pickert observes,"[A]t the state level, abortion-rights activists are unequivocally losing."...read more.

House Attempts to Use New Rules to Prevent IPAB from Rationing Healthcare 
Late last week, House Republicans passed a package of rules that will guide the next (113th) Congress. Contained within these rules was a simple provision stating that "[The] Independent Payment Advisory Board ... shall not apply in the One Hundred Thirteenth Congress."...read more.
