Missourians March for Life in D.C.
On January 22, 1973, one of the saddest days in American history, the destruction of innocent unborn babies was made legal. Today, hundreds of thousands of pro-lifers are gathering in Washington, D.C. to attend the March for Life and lobby their elected officials.

march for life 2013

Over 5,000 committed Missourians made the difficult trip to witness to the constitutional right to life of all pre-born children. Those attending, both male and female, are of many denominations, ages, physical abilities. Many are post-abortive themselves. Many have loved ones who have suffered from abortion. What they have in common is an unshakable knowledge that life is sacred and a firm belief that our constitution was written to protect all humans, even those not yet born.

Pro-Life Rising, 40 Years After Roe v. Wade

George Weigel writes: Forty years ago, on Jan. 22, 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court handed down Roe v. Wade, one of the two worst decisions in its history. The court's first mega-error, the 1857 decision in Dred Scott v. Sandford, declared an entire class of human beings beyond the protection of the laws; Roe v. Wade declared another class of human beings, the unborn, beyond legal protection. Dred Scott helped precipitate the Civil War; Roe v. Wade led to a vast expansion of the pro-life movement, the largest movement of social reform in America since the civil rights movement and the natural successor to that effort to repair the lingering damage done by Dred Scott... read more.

Legislative Update

The Missouri legislature convened once again on January 9, 2013.  With an overwhelming pro-life majority in both the House and the Senate, we are hopeful that significant pro-life legislation will be passed this year.  Our primary pro-life legislation is a ban on webcam abortions and a bill protecting the conscience rights of healthcare workers.  Click here for the entire update.

Also remember to mark your calendars and be at the Missouri State Capitol on February 19th for the Pro-life Legislative Action Day.  See information here.
