Strong Bipartisan Support Shown for Pro-Life Bills
HB 400 & SB 175 establishes the requirements for the administration of RU-486 and other abortion-inducing drugs and chemicals.  This legislation would ensure that abortions are not done by a video conferencing system where the abortionist is located at one location and uses a closed circuit TV to talk with a woman who is at another location over a computer video screen.  Planned Parenthood, as close as Iowa, has formulated the web-cam abortion scheme and mandated that all of its family planning clinics participate.  We want to prevent the abortion industry from opening up RU-486 abortion dispensaries across the state of Missouri.  HB 400 is sponsored by Representative Jeanie Riddle and 114 other House members (a veto proof bi-partisan majority), SB 175 is sponsored by Senator Wayne Wallingford.

Freezing Cold No Match for Spiritual Heat of Pro-Life Witness

On a Jan. 22 morning when the outside temperature barely reached a bone-numbing 20 degrees, nearly 200 Catholics first attended Mass with Bishop Robert W. Finn at the Catholic Center in downtown Kansas City. Then most of them marched - with their bishop in the lead down - down frigid Ninth Street to form the bulk of the crowd at a noon hour Missouri Right to Life prayer witness for the legal protection of the unborn in front of the Charles Evans Whittaker Federal Courthouse...read more.
