Pro-Life Legislative Action Day -- Women and Unborn Babies Need Your Support 
On Tuesday, February 19th at the Pro-life Legislative Action Day you can help pass important pro-life legislation and save women and unborn babies.  Come to the State Capitol, first floor Rotunda, any time after 9:00 am. The rally starts at noon. Our keynote speaker will be Sue Thayer, a past Planned Parenthood manager and now pro-life activist. Come to talk to your legislators about the ban on webcam abortions and other important pro-life bills.  See you at the Capitol!

Rep. Jason Smith Chosen as Republican Candidate for 8th Cong. Dist. Race
Missouri Right to Life Federal PAC congratulates Jason Smith for his nomination to be the GOP candidate for the June 4 special election in the 8th Congressional District.  The MRL PAC sent multiple communications to the Republican committee members encouraging them to nominate a strong pro-life candidate.  We thank the the committee members for making pro-life issues a priority in their selection of a candidate.  Representative Jason Smith is a proven pro-life leader with an excellent record as a Missouri legislator.

Legislative Update 
Senate Bill 175 and House Bill 400 establish the requirements for the administration and regulation of RU-486 and other abortion-inducing drugs and chemicals. SB 175 is sponsored by Senator Wayne Wallingford.  SB 175 has been placed on the Calendar for a hearing before the Senate Judiciary and Civil and Criminal Jurisprudence Committee for Monday evening, February 18. HB 400 is sponsored by Representative Jeanie Riddle and 114 other House members (a veto proof bi-partisan majority).  HB 400 has been referred to the House Health Care Policy Comm.

40 Days for Life Celebrates NC Abortion Center Closing

March 2 -  Warren County chapter meeting, Susan Klein, legislative liaison for MRL will be the speaker. Warren County chapter meets at 9:30 a.m. at the Scenic Regional Library, 912 S. Hwy 47, Warrenton.

March 10 - 18, LIFE Runners A-Cross the Country Relay Pro-Life will be crossing Missouri. The relay crosses America in 40 days in 1,103 legs of approximately  5K length, stopping in front of abortion clinics to pray. March 17th - Bishop John R. Gaydos will celebrate a Diocesan Pro Life Recommitment Mass at Immaculate Conception Church in Jefferson City at 5:30 pm.  Prayers of Recommitment for the future will be offered.  The Mass will be preceded by presentations starting at 1:00 pm, of "Memories" by individuals and organizations from all over the Diocese.  They will recall significant events in the 40 years since Roe.  To Register please call: 573-635-9127.
