Governor Signs Bill to Protect Pharmacy Owners
The following statement can be attributed to Pam Fichter, President of Missouri Right to Life:

Missouri Right to Life is grateful to the Governor for signing SB 126 sponsored by Senator David Sater, District 29. This legislation simply says that licensed pharmacies cannot be required to carry or maintain in inventory any specific drug or device. This will give protection to pharmacy owners from lawsuits by those who would seek to force them to carry abortifacient drugs or devices.

Although this legislation is not specific to the abortion issue, the broad language covers pharmacy owners who would seek to stand on their religious and moral beliefs not to carry abortifacient drugs or devices.

Action Alert -- Keep Up Those Calls to Governor Nixon, Ask Others to Call!

The Governor has until July 14 to sign or veto this pro-life bill - If he takes no action this bill will go into effect at the end of August automatically.

If he vetoes the bill, then we will be headed to veto session in mid-September and pro-lifers will call on their legislators to override the Governor's veto.

The question here is, "Will the Governor be pro-active and sign this bill in order to protect innocent human lives?"

Call Governor Nixon's office and ask him to sign the following pro-life bill:
HB 400 - The bill to ban web-cam abortions.
Governor Nixon's phone number is 573-751-3222
