MRL PAC Opposes Jackson County's Question 1: the $800 Million Research Tax

Missouri Right to Life State PAC has offered the following statement regarding their opposition to Question 1, an $800 million research tax on the ballot in Jackson County:

"Missouri Right to Life State PAC, like many other groups including the Citizens Association and Freedom, Inc., opposes this regressive $800 million tax.  It is not right to expect Jackson County families to spend their hard-earned money to subsidize some of Kansas City's wealthiest corporations without any strings attached.  Divided by every man, woman, and child in the County, that's nearly $1,200 for each person.  Meanwhile, these hospitals pay their CEOs millions of dollars a year, yet they want to pass the cost of expanding their business on to taxpayers.  This is not right."

November 9 Statewide Meeting
On November 9, 2013 Missouri Right to Life will host a statewide meeting. Anyone interested in getting involved in the fight to restore the right to life of the unborn, disabled and elderly, as well as our current chapter and board members are encouraged to attend. Our guest speaker will be Sheryl Crosier whose son Simon was born with Trisomy 13.   She will tell us of the impact Simon had on the lives of all who were blessed to come in contact with him and the fight she and her husband waged to confirm the dignity of Simon's life. The meeting will be held at 9:45 am in Pleus Hall, Immaculate Conception Parish, Jefferson City.  Come and see what you can do to help the fight for life!
