MISSOURI RIGHT TO LIFE PRESS RELEASE For Immediate Release: Contact: Call the Question to Save Babies and Protect Women Pro-Life Missourians are waiting and watching the Missouri Senate in the last week of the 2009 Legislative Session which ends on Friday, May 15th at 6:00 p.m. Time is ticking away for the Missouri Senate to call the previous question to shut down the pro-abortion filibuster that will kill HB 46 & 434 and SB 264. "These pro-life bills would ensure that a woman is given the opportunity to view an ultrasound of her baby 24 hours before she undergoes an abortion, that she is given information on the development of her baby, and that she is not forced to have an abortion. The Republican majority has the numbers they need to shut down the filibuster, and Missouri Right to Life urges them to call the question. Women deserve full and complete information before considering an abortion, and the Missouri Senate will decide if they receive it." said Pam Fichter, President of Missouri Right to Life. The Missouri Legislature has worked on these issues for 2 years. A few pro-abortion Senators should not be given the ability to control the majority of Senators who ran on pro-life values to represent pro-life Missourians in their districts. This legislation is supported by all pro-life groups.
